The best street style trends from Paris Fashion Week and how to employ them straight away.

Another fashion month has now gone. And albeit the uncertainty sweeping through the fashion world with both a climate crisis and an internationally spreading virus, fashion insiders showed up in support of the month’s biggest event – Paris Fashion Week. ILLUM’s photographer, Søren Jepsen, was ready on the streets to snap up the best inspiration from the industry’s most stylish people. Here’s our four favorite trends and how you can employ them straight away.

A Pop of Color

Take your style cues from the streets of Paris and add a pop of color to your wardrobe this Spring. Paring color to an outfit in neutral tones becomes a statement, and allows the color to shine even more. Go for colors such as red, green, orange or yellow to give your style a sense of freshness and freedom.

All-white

An all-white outfit can seem like a high risk. But there is just something about it that’s so simple and effortless in an ultra-stylish way. Pair a white skirt with a jumper, and skip the to-go coffee on the day – just to be safe.

Sculptural Bags

This season’s sculptural bags were well-represented on the streets during Paris Fashion Week. And there are perks of having your handbag looking like an ornament. With it being equal parts stylish and practical, chances are we won’t be packing these bags away anytime soon.

Dressing Up

Dressing up is no longer reserved for the red carpet, childish games or even fashion week. It’s time to dig in to the back of your closet and dust off the dresses just hanging, waiting to be worn. The difference between day and evening dressing is dead. Instead it’s about wearing what makes you feel good – even if that’s sequins and stilettos for a 9am meeting.
